Welcome to Brighton, MI

The City of Brighton is centrally located where Brighton, Green Oak, Hamburg and Genoa townships come together.  Brighton is an ideally situated where U.S. 23 and I-96 intersect, making Brighton an ideal commuter hub.  Brighton is 45 miles west of Detroit, 35 miles south of Flint, 15 miles north of Ann Arbor and 45 miles east of Lansing.

The downtown area features many fine unique eateries and numerous upscale businesses. Take a stroll on the Tridge and half mile boardwalk along downtown Brighton's Mill Pond.  The 10,000 square foot Imagination Station is the ideal place for children to play.  Both amenities located in Brighton's Principal Shopping District.  The surrounding areas offer a variety of big box retailers.  Livingston County’s only “Life Style” mall Green Oak Village Place features 47 top retailers and is situated in park like environment.

Brighton Recreation Area offers nearly 5,000 acres of woods, meadows and lakes.  Kensington Metropark is located within a few minutes' driving distance, as well as more than 50 beautiful lakes, natural wetlands and golf courses.  Mt. Brighton Ski Area was voted the best snowboarding area in Michigan by the readers of AAA Michigan Living magazine and is a destination for many skiers.
